Forget the "biggest sales of the season," forget the pile of laundry, forget the chicken that needs to be dethawed, forget the weeds that need to be pulled, forget the phone call that needs to be returned....
I have learned that if you really want to win the smiles and heart of a 2 year old, forget the Wiggle DVDs, the Barney stickers, the kites, the Tigger and Pooh coloring book, and the Handy Manny book, and just give him one thing. C-A-N-D-Y. That's it. Nothing more. One trip to the super market for the Skittles on sale for $1.99 and you can make my son's day. We kept asking Eli what was in his basket and he just kept saying, "Candy.... and eggs!" Caroline was pretty easy to please. We managed to get a few family photos before church. Easter was a blessed day, and most importantly, we are thankful for Christ and his sacrifice so that we might have days like this one....
We now live in Huntsville, Alabama after a 2 year stint near the ocean in South Carolina. We have 2 children, Eli (nickname doggie) and Caroline (nickname Cutter Butter). We don't have any pets, but Caroline seems to take care of the scraps for us. I am a WAHM (work at home mom) and work part time for a CPA firm. We live simply: we laugh alot, we pray alot, we seek alot, and we love a whole lot.
